Teeming with such extreme natural beauty, it’s easy to forget that the Atacama Desert is the driest place on the planet. So surreal are the landscapes here that sometimes a pinch is needed to remind yourself you’re not dreaming as you warm a thermos of tea in the boiling springs of the Tatio geyser field, float weightlessly in the salty waters of Cejar Lagoon and watch the sun set over the haunting lunar landscape of the Moon Valley.
"The Atacama Desert surprised me each day with new levels of beauty and stunning landscapes. Sweeping sand dunes, sunsets with their pinky glow reflecting off the salt flats dotted with flamingos, early morning geyser visits, wrapped up in scarves and hats gripping onto hot mugs of tea and coffee, and star-filled skies are just some of my fondest memories of Atacama."
